Metshameko-Ya-Paseka is not just a tournament – it’s a vibrant four-day celebration of youth talent, community spirit, and township pride. From football to netball, music mentorship, this event brings together schools, volunteers, and partners to inspire the next generation.
This year, the tournament was held behind closed doors at Are-Ipeleng Primary School, prioritizing learner safety without compromising the competitive spirit. Soccer, netball and touch rugby dominated the fields, accompanied by on-site skills clinics and sportsmanship workshops. The tournament celebrated not only performance but character, sports, education, and community pride.
We hosted over 200 learners per day for a period of four days, worked with volunteer coaches, and identified standout athletes for our upcoming Kasi Schools Sports League and the 489Movement Sports Academy, launching in 2026.
